The Water System 上水道 （生活に使う、きれいな水）

The water supply network provides clean water for daily life and removes waste water for treatment. In Japan, the water system is separated into a water system "上水道 jōsuidō" and a sewage system "下水道　gesuidō."

「水道」は生活のために供給・処理するものです。日本の「水道」には、「上水道」と「下水道」があります。

About the Water System　上水道について

The water system pipes deliver clean, drinkable water to homes throughout Kameoka City. For example, the water that comes from the tap (your sink, bathtub, or shower) is from the water system. Waste water is removed by the sewage system pipes.

「上水道」は、飲むことができる水を家に届けます。例えば、家の蛇口（流し台・風呂・シャワーなど）から出てくるきれいな水は上水道の水です。

The Meter　メーターについて

Once every two months, a member of the water board will come to check your water meter to measure how much water you have used.

• Please do not park your car or put other items over the meter.
• Please do not keep your dog tied up near the meter.
• If you renovate your home, please make sure to keep the meter in a visible location.

2ヵ月に一回、亀岡市水道料金センターの人があなたの家の外にある水道メーターを見に来ます。水道をどれだけ使ったかを確認します。

• ちゃんと水道メーターを確認できるように、水道メーターの上に物を置かないでください。
• 水道メーターの近くに犬をつながないでください。
• 家を新しくする時などは、メーターを隠すなど見えにくくしないでください。
