One Time Allowance for Childbirth and Childcare 出産育児一時金　（子どもが　生まれたときの　支援）

Kameoka City provides a One Time Allowance for Childbirth and Childcare to new parents who are enrolled in the National Health Insurance program to help offset costs of birthing and childcare. This is known as the　出産育児一時金　shussan ikuji ichijikin.

Eligibility　対象

Persons enrolled in the National Health Insurance program.

*However, if you worked for a company continuously for one year or longer and gave birth within 6 months of quitting, the insurance you were enrolled in during your employment is responsible for paying the allowance.

国民健康保険に　入っている人。

※1年以上会社で継続して仕事をしていて、やめてから6カ月以内に出産した場合、会社で働いているときに入っていた保険から払われます。

Allowance Amount　支給額（もらえるお金）

500,000yen(*1)

(*1) You must meet both of the following requirements:

• Must have given birth at a hospital/medical facility enrolled in a gynecological medical insurance system(産科医療補償制度加入医療機関　sanka iryō hoshō seido kanyū iryō kikan)
• Must have given birth after reaching the 22nd week of pregnancy.

(*2) Anyone who does not meet the requirements listed above in (*1).

• 在胎週数22週に達した日の後に出産した人

 How to Receive the Allowance　支給方法（お金を受ける方法）

The allowance will be paid directly to the hospital or medical facility by the insurance. If the amount owed is less than the amount of the allowance, the allowance amount will be adjusted to match the amount owed. In this scenario you will be payed the difference. Application is required.

If you would prefer not to have the insurance directly pay the hospital, you must contact the hospital and make an application to the insurance.

出産育児一時金は、保険から病院などに直接払います。

「支払額」（病院に払わなければいけないお金）が出産育児一時金の「支給額」（保険から出るお金）より低い場合であっても、「支給額」と同じ金額を出します。この場合の差額はあなたに払います。必ず申請してください。

保険から病院などに直接払うことを希望しない場合は、病院に連絡して、保険に申請してください。
