About Nursing Insurance 介護保険について
Anyone over the age of 40 is required to enroll in Nursing Insurance (介護保険 kaigo hoken). If you ever need nursing care due to age or illness, you will be responsible for 10%, 20% or 30% of the fees for nursing care services.
Before using nursing care services, you must undergo an assessment and become designated as someone requiring nursing care (要介護認定 yōkaigo nintei).
介護保険は、40歳以上の人が必ず入る保険制度です。介護が必要となったときに原則利用額の10％、20％または30%を自分で払って介護サービスを受けることができます。
介護サービスを使うことには「要介護認定」を受けることが必要です。その後、自由にサービスを選べます。
Pension Premiums 保険料と払い方
People enrolled in Nursing Insurance are separated into two groups by age:
- Group 1 (第1号被保険者 dai ichi gō hihokensha): Persons aged 65 and above
- Group 2 (第2号被保険者 dai ni gō hihokensha): Persons age 40-64
保険に入っている人を2つのグループに分けます。
- 第1号被保険者：65歳以上の人
- 第2号被保険者：40～64歳の人
グループによって保険料の算定と払い方が違います。
払い方については亀岡市役所1階の高齢福祉課（22番窓口）に聞いてください。
When You Want to Participate in a Service サービスを受けたいとき
Before participating in services, it needs to be determined whether you requiring nursing care (要介護状態 yō kaigo jōtai) or whether you require support (要支援状態 yō shien jōtai).
- Persons over 65 (Group 1)
- Requiring Nursing Care: Persons requiring constant care because they are confined to a bed or have dementia.
- Requiring Support: Persons requiring help with daily activities such as house cleaning or getting dressed.
サービスを受けたいは「要介護状態」または「要支援状態」であることの認定が必要です。
- 65歳以上の人（第1号被保険者）の場合
- 要介護状態：寝たきりや認知症などで、いつも介護が必要な人
- 要支援状態：家事や服を着るときなど日常生活に支援が必要な人
- 40歳～64歳の人（第2号被保険者）の場合
- 特定疫病16項目（16の決まった病気）が原因で介護または支援が必要な人
Service Fees サービスの利用料（いくら）
Persons enrolled in Nuring Insurance are required to pay 10, 20 or 30 percent of the overall fees.
保険に入っている人は原則10％、20％または30%を払います。

A specialist will visit your home and assist with physical rehabilitation to improve body function. |

Rehabilitation at a Facility (通所リハビリテーション tsusho rihabiriteishon) |
You can get physical rehabilitation to improve body function at a care facility or hospital. |

Health Managment and Education (居宅療養管理指導 kyotaku ryōyō kanri shidō) |
A doctor, dentist or pharmacist will visit your home and help manage your health and provide education about how to improve your health. |

Nursing Care at a Facility (Day Service) (通所介護 tsusho kaigo) |
You can get bathing assistance, meals, and physical rehabilitation and also enjoy recreational services. |

Short Stay In-House Nursing Care (短期入所生活介護 tanki nyūsho seikatsu kaigo) |
You can enter a facility for a short period of time and receive everyday care and physical rehabilitation. |

Short Stay In-House Health Care (短期入所療養介護 tanki nyūsho ryōyō kaigo) |
You can enroll in a senior's health care facility for a short period of time and receive daily health care, everyday care and physical rehabilitation. |

Nursing Care at a Retirement Home/Care Facility (特定施設入所者生活介護 tokutei shisetu nyūshosha seikatsu kaigo) |
You can receive the services provided at a public nursing care facility or retirement home. |

Equipment Lending Program (福祉用具貸与 fukushi yōgu taiyo) |
This program lends out equipment required for everyday life or physical rehabilitation. |

Financial Aid for Purchasing Equipment (福祉用具購入費の支給 fukushi yōgu kōnyū no shikyū) |
This program provides money for purchase of equipment required for using the bath or toilet, etc. |
|
Financial Aid for Home Safety Improvement (住宅改修費の支給 jūtaku kaishūhi no shikyū) |
This program provides money for adding handrails or improving home safety to avoid falls. |

短期入所生活介護【ショートステイ】 （たんきにゅうしょせいかつかいご） |
短い間施設に入って、介護など日常生活の世話や機能訓練を行います。 |

短期入所療養介護【ショートステイ】 （たんきにゅうしょりょうようかいご） |
短い間「介護老人保健施設」や「介護療養型医療施設」などに入って、介護や機能訓練など必要な療養や日常生活の世話を行います。 |

特定施設入所者生活介護 （とくていしせつにゅうしょしゃせいかつかいご） |
有料老人ホームやケアハウスなどに入っている人は施設が行うサービスを受けます。 |
| 福祉用具貸与（ふくしようぐたいよ） | 日常生活や機能訓練に必要な福祉用具を貸し出します。 |

お風呂やトイレを使うときに必要とする福祉用具を買うとき、そのお金を払うサービスです。 |

These facilities are for persons who require constant care and have difficulty living at home on their own. |

These facilities are for persons whose symptoms are stabilized but require physical rehabilitation or nursing care to maintain health. |

Senior's Medical Treatment Facilities (介護療養型医療施設 kaigo ryōyōkei iryō shisetsu) |
These facilities are for persons who have been undergoing medical treatment for a long period of time but whose symptoms have stabilized. They can undergo medical management and nursing care. |

介護老人福祉施設【特別養護老人ホーム】 （かいごろうじんふくししせつ） 【とくべつようごろうじんホーム】 |
いつも介護が必要で、家での生活に困っている人のための施設です。 |

These facilities provide a place for persons with dementia to live together in small groups while receiving physical therapy and assistance with daily activities such as meals and bathing |

This program allows people to remain in the neighborhood they are comfortable living in while visiting facilities and sometimes staying over night. |

This program allows persons with dementia to visit facilities during the day for physical rehabilitation and assistance with daily activities such as meals and bathing. |

Nursing Care Assistance on a periodic basis or whenever requested （定期巡回・随時対応型訪問介護看護 teiki junkai zuiji taiōkei hōmon kaigo kango） |
This program allows persons who go back home to visit etc. to receive periodic nursing care assistance or assistance when necessary from a caregiver of a particular institution, throughout the day or night. |

Night Nursing Care Assistance （夜間対応型訪問介護 yakan taiōkei hōmon kaigo） |
This program allows persons to receive nursing care assistance at night or when requested. |

認知症対応型共同生活介護 【グループホーム】 （にんちしょうたいおうけいきょうどうせいかつかいご） |
認知症による要介護者が、少人数で一緒に生活をする施設です。お風呂やトイレ、食事など日常生活のサービスや機能訓練を受けることができます。 |

家などへの訪問による要介護者が日中・夜中を通じて一つの事業者から定期的な巡回訪問介護・訪問看護を受けるサービスです。 |

夜間対応型訪問介護 （やかんたいおうけいほうもんかいご） |
夜間か利用者からの連絡に応じた随時訪問などのサービスです。 |

The Kameoka Community Support Center provides a variety of support services including:
- Health Management [Preventative Care] (介護予防ケアマネジメント kaigo yobō kea manejimento)
- General Consulation (総合相談支援 sōgo sōdan shien)
- Abuse Awareness and Prevention (虐待の早期発見・防止などの権利擁護 gyakutai no sōki hakken・bōshi nado no kenri yōgo)
- Comprehensive and Continual Care Management (包括的・継続的ケアマネジメント hōkatsuteki・keizokuteki kea manejimento)
