As of April 1st, 2016, the 10 types of IC Cards that can be used all throughout Japan, can also be used on these buses.



The Community Bus has an eastbound and a westbound course. Both courses begin and end at JR Kameoka Station. The westbound course is divided into two routes: a "left" route and a "right" route. Please check the map and schedule below.

The Community Bus is a one coin bus; regardless of the distance you travel, the fare is always 100 yen. PiTaPa cards, ICOCA cards (provided by JR West), and prepaid bus cards can be used to ride the Community Bus.

  • Eastbound Course buses run 10 times a day. A full course takes about 26 minutes.
  • Westbound Course buses run 16 times a day. A full course takes about 26 minutes

    ※ NOTE : The westbound Community Bus does not stop at Sogo fukushi sentaa mae (総合福祉センター前) before 9 a.m. or after 7 p.m.

    Bus Fare        運賃

    The Community Bus is a one coin bus; regardless of the distance you travel, the fare is always 100 yen. Children of elementary school age and younger ride for 50 yen.

    PiTaPa cards, ICOCA cards, and prepaid bus cards can be used to ride the Community Bus.

    "One Ride Free" 1,100 yen prepaid bus cards are sold for 1,000 yen at the Keihan Kyoto Bus Information Kiosk in front of JR Kameoka Station.

    Shino Area Community Bus (Test Run)        篠地区コミュニティバス(試験運行)


    For the purpose of improving ease of access in areas with no transportation service, the Shino Area Community Bus was created and is currently undergoing a test run.

    • Test Run Start Date : February 24th, 2016 (Wednesday) 13:25 from Umahori Station
    • Fare : 100 yen for all zones

     As of now, the test run period is set at one year and will be considered for permanent rotation depending on the frequency of use. As such, please make use of this bus service as much as possible.
